Great local spot for rare Mexican/Vietnamese fusion. Everything on the menu is so authentic and delicious. Elevated brunch spot that won’t break the bank. Don’t forget to get the wings!

The food was delicious and everything tasted great. The place is very baby-friendly, which made the experience even better for us. The hibiscus margaritas were amazing—definitely a highlight of the visit. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

Update: I went back on the same day! An absolute gem! Amazing food 🥘 The wings are the crispiest and the yummiest The burger will fill you up and happily The Apple cider mimosa oh I could have this all day! Thank you to our gorgeous waiter Pablo for the kindness and service ❤️ Update: my mom is sick from all the air conditioning in US, so I wanted to get something healthy for her. So I on the same day, I went back to Carla’s for the Beef Pho. Oh my god, it is so delicious you have no idea. The take out boxes were neatly packed, my mom literally chugged the soup and already feels much better. If we ever come back to NY this is will be the spot to visit over and over.

I want to start by giving credit where it is due. Our server was kind and did his best. That being said, he was overworked, overwhelmed and understaffed. He was the only person taking orders, making drinks and taking food to tables on a Friday night. There was a large party of 8 then 2 small parties, ours included. We waited an hour before we got our food, and while we were waiting, a party of 6 walked in, sat down and never got their order taken. They walked out before the server even came around which was about 30 minutes. When we finally got our food, it was okay. There was nothing that stood out, and from the other reviews, I thought this place was supposed to be Latin, which was not how our food tased. It was underwhelming and a little bland. We got 2 small shrimp tacos and 2 small fish tacos, a veggie quesadilla, guacamole and a drink. The drinks were fun and the guacamole was tasty and fresh. The bill came out and it was just shy of $100. The had vegetarian options which was nice. I think for the price and quantity of food, you’re better off going somewhere else. Overall I think this place could be so much better only if management implements change. In the meantime, I don’t

We had such a wonderful experience at Carla, and I had to share. From the moment we walked in, the service was truly incredible. The team was so kind, patient, and welcoming—especially with my young child, which made a huge difference for us as a family. It’s not always easy dining out with a little one, but they made it feel effortless and enjoyable. The food was just as impressive. The guacamole was unbelievably fresh—we ended up ordering two because it was that good. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The Al Pastor tacos were packed with flavor, and the fried fish tacos were perfectly crispy and delicious. The atmosphere tied it all together—clean, comfortable, and with music at just the right volume so you can actually enjoy your conversation. Overall, such a great experience with amazing food and even better service. We’ll definitely be back.
